The Prague Institute of Planning and Development (IPR Prague) plans where in Prague we'll live, where we'll work, where we should build parks, what our public squares will look like, and where the streets, roads, rails, and pipelines will lead.

IPR Prague is the city's main conceptual workplace for architecture, urbanism, and development. We are fully funded by the City of Prague and represent the city in spatial planning matters. Our basic objective is to make Prague a living, influential, dynamic, and competitive city that provides pleasant conditions for residents and visitors, flexibly reacts to the current needs of its population, and maintains its place among the most advanced cities in Europe.

What do we do?

We represent the City of Prague in zoning proceedings.

We are an expert advisor on urban planning issues and represent the city in planning proceedings.

We create key city planning documents.

We create documents that propose the future development of Prague, from details such as street reconstructions to the new Metropolitan Plan, which addresses how Prague will develop over the next twenty years.

We collect data about the city.

We collect and produce very accurate data about Prague, which serves as an important basis for our work and the work of other city institutions, municipalities, students, and developers.

We produce studies and analyses.

Based on data and our knowledge of the city, we create plans, studies, and analyses that deal with transport, technical infrastructure, landscape, economy, public space, housing, and demographics.

Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning (CAMP)

We try to explain everything we do to the public. We wanted there to be a physical place in Prague where we could do this, and where the public could ask questions about the future of the city. So we created it right here at IPR Prague in the form of our Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning (CAMP).

CAMP's mission is to improve public discourse about the development of Prague through a rich program of public debates, workshops, screenings, exhibitions, and other activities. CAMP houses an exhibition hall with unique large-screen projection facilities, a study room, a cafe, an outdoor terrace, and an indoor amphitheater.
